Brief of my job scope: Picked tons of alien technical terms which I've not seen in school. And its not as easy, much more considerations (heat, efficiency, cost saving, time, etc) to be made in this practical world. I would say, its a good learning experience. Linux programming (VI scripting has some similarities with Visual C but I hate softwares without GUI). Abit of soldering, change components when you conclude its faulty (short/ open). Some IC are so damn small, soldering them would need skills. Testing, verification and repair of boards with so many shitty components. Just trouble-shooting itself takes ages. Refer to datasheets and schematics, my eyes are giving way. This is what I've been doing so far, joined AMD not long ago (140206), so I guess more work will be coming, damn!
The reason I post this is because, whoever who recommends people into AMD will receive monetary award, i.e. the applicant go through interviews and successfully be employed by AMD, the one who recomends get $1500 for exempt staffs (engineer and above), $500 for non-exempt staffs (E.A. and below). Cool right? Haha! No worries, I will share the award... ... Maybe 9:1?
