Lamenting...... as usual

Anyone coming to Austin, please get a driving license. Or anywhere on Earth, just go get one. It's living hell w/o one when you depend on colleague's vehicle or public transport. It just don't work, your colleague may have intention to go elsewhere which never interest you.

Public transport here is "awesome"! You get to wait 30- 45 mins on weekends and the bus routes are confusing. They have things like
Route 7/ 27 is a paired route. Buses starting as Route 7 become Route 27 (and vice versa) as indicated on the map. Cool yea? Not forgetting the fact that i'm unfamiliar to places here. It's like "Pouring Oil into a blazing Fire"!
The only pros, pay USD$1 and you enjoy unlimited bus rides for 24hrs. It's so much cheaper as compared to SG, government here takes care of the poor.

That guy who came with me have an ulcer in his mouth and didn't want to go out. So i was on my own, boarded a bus (anyone that came my way) and headed DownTown.Hoping to get some novelties for my family and friends but well, this isn't the right place. Things sold here are laggy expensive! There's a whopping GST of 8%! Woot! And you gotta tip waiter/ waitress ~10% of your bill, it's a must! Staying in Sg isn't that bad after all.
DownTown, Sixth Street is populated with
lounge/pub, live entertainment, restaurants, etc. Not my type of attractions, i can't drink nor dance. Neither do i appreciate jazz. Boring boring.
There's two events on going (South by SouthWest and Rodeo), drawing crowds from all places, flooding hotels, inns, suites and motels! These ain't for me too. Don't know the bands and not wanting to stink of bulls or horses.

The best thing is, it started raining when i still carry hope to find some worthy stuffs. Sucks! I got drenched thoroughly! Back to hotel, dried myself and started blogging, watching Star Wars on TV. What a Sunday.

Previous weekend was better. Headed to Round Rock Premium Outlets. Its around 30mins ride from my hotel. You will find designer brands from all over the world. I had a fabulous time shopping and picked up some pretty good bargains. Now i'm afraid my luggage won't fit in all my stuffs. Spent ~S$650 in one trip and i haven cover the entire ground. Man, they are really big. This is the longest shopping trip i ever had.
I have another weekend for shopping/ tour. Let's see what i can get......
I'm missing home, wish i can go back earlier. Miss my family, home, friends, and of course SG food! The serving here is seriously too huge for me, can't finish my meal most of the time. And they are costly, ~S$14/ meal. It's sinful and my pocket will be upset if i don't finish stuffs on my plate.
The first thing to do when i get back, enroll for driving course! Die die must do it!
One month of stay here is too long when there's nothing much for sightseeing or places that catch my attention. Not much babes either, my eyes refused to look at Caucasians.

Omg Monday is coming! Noooo!
