- Warcraft Version 1.23 Patch has also been released. Click here to download or alternatively you may get into Battlenet for automatic update. Should you face an error while updating, you don't have any registry entry of your Warcraft III in your operating system. Follow the steps to upgrade your exsisting 1.22 patch of Warcraft III to 1.23.
- Run the game and make some configurations, then exit game.
- Run the Registry Editor: Start > Run > regedit.
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Blizzard Entertainment > Warcraft III
- Right-click, choose New > String Value, call it InstallPath
- Right-click on InstallPath and choose Modify.
- In Value Data, write the adress to your W3C folder, for instance E:\Games\Warcraft III\
- Click OK, then close Registry Editor.3) Now run the patch, it will upgrade you to 1.23
